will a xr400 side case fit on my 400ex

i kinda want a kickstart on my 400 and i was wondering if a xr400 side case would fit since it is the same motor:confused:

you can put a xr side case on with the kick hole plugged. The gears are different so it can't be kick started.

I think the problem is that the 400 doesnt have the gears for kickstart, but you can buy those.
