Stock rod failures with 440?

So how fragile is it? Are most folks getting away with running the stock rod with 416-440 bore? Are the horror stories rare or inevitable?

most people get away with the stock rod unless your going pretty high on the compression. however, not all. i will be running my stock rod in my 426 that will be over 11.1:1.
