and your 400 is somethign special..gimmi a break.. you spend money on your 400ex but in the end its still a 400ex.. i have a 300ex, and we've spent over 5 grand on it, but that doesnt mean that its money wasted, i cant race any other quad besides a blaster or mojave in my class, and maybe he is the same way and just wants something very nice to race..so just chill with those comments, and i probably shouldnt have posted this because you're gonna hate me now but i had to vent..its been a bad day

why is it a waste of money if your going to race a class that is designed for that machine? the blaster classes are very competitave because all the machines are the same. some have motor work and shocks etc etc but it really comes down to the rider.

actually if im not mistaking Kurt is 18?? and he owns projectblaster that blaster could keep up with stock or close to stock banshees...and it would probably beat anybodys 400 or 300 here he put a lot of time and money into it and its a quick bike...check out www.projectblaster.com now and check it out...he has green plastics with red graphics...nicest blaster ive ever seen and if i remember correctly he just has a diamond racing 200cc national cylinder in it no 240cc kit

VCA has a side business, it's an all-blaster business (yes it's very successful believe it or not) so this is our show quad/my race quad. I also have a few other toys, including a 400ex w/ long travel set up that I'm getting a 450 engine for, but let's face it... a built up blaster is more exotic than a built up 400ex because you don't see many of them around.

so why do we blow all that money on a little blaster? because we can.

Alot of you don't know how race worthy a blaster is! Ever been to a GNC race? Check out the Youth Production and Air cooled classes...those guys can really move....

And if you've ever heard of Ricky Stair (youth production), he can really rip on that blaster!

but a yfz wouldn't work if we wanted to promote our blaster business...

we have spent about 20 grand in this blaster over the years, but again, it's not like I'm just a weekend racer. We use this for show, to test new products, r&d for other companies, etc.

example: have you ever seen an IMS bumper like that for a blaster? no, they're not even made yet. that is also the only true green blaster in the whole world (not paint), we had a deal with Maier for a custom color. Magura had us develop the hydraulic clutch for the blaster, using this one here. All of the PB products are tested on this racer too, including the aluminum airboxes, air scoops, custom footpegs, all the plastic we modify, etc. so that's why we have so much money into this.

so instead of me hearing comments like "why did u do that to a blaster? why didnt you get a 450?"... when you have a side business selling blaster parts that's bringing in just as much or more money then your all-offroad business, it helps to have something like this around.
