horsepower!

whats the easiest way 2 get horsepower other than a new pipe and header. I also dont have much money(any thing that costs under $50)

I dont know what kind of riding you do but if you want some good top speed and low speed pulling power between the gears
and it will feel like five hp put a 16 renthal countersprocket on the front. The 400ex has too much torque in first gear anyway and is rarely used for racing. This mod will cost you $30 and grind your case saver to fit. Ive outran piped and jetted 400s in a drag race with JUST the sprocket and evrything else stock. We are even through three gears and then its goodbye! It will not KILL the bike like some people think, A 14 will have you barely outrunning a 300ex, maybe for hill climbing or a very little track. We flat track race and run 16-36 gearing. The 400 loves the 16. Try it and you will like it. Ive done it and do it all the time for friends with new 400s and they are amazed! Kn filter and jet kit too with a sparks x4 for stock motor will give you the biggest gain!
