I have been riding a few quads, and I have decided that instead of the 400 as my first quad I want to be like ReconRider and get a RECON!

Its cheaper new opposed to the 400.

Go one step up and try the Rancher out.

ranchers are a bit on the heavy side and the recon has much better handing IMO

I bought a brand new recon when I was 13, now I look back and wish i would have bought a used 400ex instead. I would have been much farther in racing now prolly.

Overkill a Rancher does not steer no different than a Recon. Yes they are heavier but hey they are a better deal when you looking at prices

The only things I dont like about the Ranchers is that I dont trust the electronincs in the es models, and they are AWD. It makes it seem like its got no power at all. If you get i Rancher i would sugest getting the warm selctor that will let you switch between 2 and 4 wheel drive.

recons are my fav for booting around on trails, beartrackers suck, and for the price, you cant beat it, and theyre just as fast as ranchers
