What are you basing this on? Have you ever owned yourself not friends, brother, cousins, sisters, neighbors father from second marrige's truck? I have purchased 5 brand new dodge rams in the last 9 years. A 1995, 1997, 2000, 2001, and a 2003. I have put between 40,000- 60,000 miles on each of them and haven't had a problem with any of them. If they had poor reliability you'd think I'd of had some problems by now........

the reason you have had no problems with them is because you got rid of them before the problems arose... trust me, they are trouble... anyway i have had a few dodge ram's and i will never own another...

My 1985 dodge ram 4x4 has 238,000 miles on it, and it still runs perfect. Starts everytime when my moms 96' s-10 doesnt, and my grandpa even drives it when his 2000 ford f-150 goes through starters...

We got a 94 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with 280 000 kilometer ( 80 kilometers = 50 miles ... you do the math) and we haven't had a single problem yet and this truck has been driven hard . We go to our cottage every weekend and take this truck hunting and fishing in the back woods . I'd buy another dodge .

nice truck what size are the tires and does he have any lift on it? its a good looking truck though. I love dodges they are very reliable exept for their trannies. All dodges iv seen have blown a tranny at around 25000 miles all have been towing and plowing a little not much but its a known fact that dodges have bad trannies but other than that they are a solid truck better than any chevy and ford iv seen so far.

Trannys going out at 25,000 mile hmmmm, never happened to me. The only place I hear this crap is on the internet. For those who care all 2003- current trucks have a different auto tranny than previous trucks, now a 5 speed. I had 4 360's. The gas milage wasn't great (13-15mpg) but alot depends on your gears and I thought popo once said his had the heavy 20's wheels. Some people just don't like dodge's. I'm surprised someone hasn't said that ford owns cummins yet, Thats the other internet rumor that comes up once in awhile. I'll quit now ........

had an chevy, drove an dodge, fell in love with dodge. The dodges arnt like chevys at all! The chevys suspention is car-like. On the dodge, its like an reals man truck! Same with the interior, it feals like you are in an semi although it still fits in the garage!

yea i know the fixed them but my freind had a 1500 blew tranny at 31,000 miles normal driving occasianaly towing then my freinds 2500 blew its tranny at 20,000 granted its strictly a towing and plowing truck but still only 20k on a tranny. Then the dodge rt w/ the 5.9 my freind drove the piss ou of it and had gone through 3 tranny rebuilds on 90k im not bashin dodge i really like them think they are a great truck but definitly have had tranny problems but ask a dealer how many trannys they service im sure its alot.
