My dealer suggested bringing the bike in for the first scheduled maintenance after a couple tanks of gas. He said they'd change the oil and adjust the valves, and check the bike over. How many of you are doing this? I've read the valves don't need adjustment that soon and as far as the oil change I can do it myself. Is it worth it to bring it in the first time?

I wouldn't unless they are doing it for free. If you do it, I would change the oil filter at the first oil change. After 2 1/2 hours of riding on mine the oil was dirty and when I changed the oil filter I could see debris on the oil filter. I also changed the transmission oil. It really is no big deal. Just be careful of tightening the drain plugs back up to specs. Someone said they torqued them to the 16 ft lbs and stripped the threads, so don't overtighten.
You can let them check out the valves when you take it in to get your HRC kit installed.
