tylenol pm = not my friend

i was out ridin the other day and got pretty banged up (its been 2 years since i had mine running so its like learning to walk all over again). well i thought i had broken my foot, and i have a few pulled muscles in my arm, shoulder, and back. i take 4 tylenol pm and some type of asprin thing at the gas station. (reminder, im 6'5" and 265, 4 tylenol pm is needed for me to start). at about 3:30pm i decide to take a nap for a bit. right now its 8:40am and i just woke up! 17 hours of sleep aint bad is it? lol.

17 hours ?!?!?!!? thats crazy, next time take 5 and see if u can sleep for a whole day, 24 hours!!!!

those work for every pain ever! they gave um to me when i broke my rist, and they lasted forever

prolonged use of high doses of Ibuprofin (sp) will actually damage your kidneys. And after you take 400mg of Ibuprofin there is no more actual pain relief offerd from taking any more, Dr's perscribe 800mg doses to help with swealing.

So bring on the vicadin!!!!!!

I've slept for about 20 hours with no medicine or anything, and the I wasn't up for like two days before that and wasn't tired...just slept straight through...I was about 10 when I did that...:eek2:

i was still tired when i woke up. when i saw that it was 9am instead of 9pm i made myself get up....then said screw goin to school. so i took a shower and ordered a pizza.

Main reason why I won't take no pills. Refuse to take tylenol, advil, ibuprofin, anything. The only pills I will take are natural herbal ones (like echnicia, vitamin C, cod liver oil, etc..). Everything else...u could not force me to take them. I've also heard (from Dad) that ibuprofin is actually addictive...every time you get the slightest pain or mild headache you automatically think "I need ibuprofin..." I really think it is true...because my mom and brother are both like that:huh

well i am sure they can be addictive, i just choose to not take them. There have been studies that have shown that prolonged use of the "Over The Counter" drugs (tyelnol, etc, etc) can lead to reduced effictiveness of perscription medicine. Just ask a guy who takes tyelnol every time he has a headache is the tyelnol 3's or 4's that the Dr. perscribes after sugery actually work for him. In most cases i can bet not.

I will say however that at times i get some visious headaches and the only way to fix them is with a few Excedrin, but those episodes are few and far between....
