I can get the kit for $200 Canadian, is it worth the money or should i spend it on something else? I guess what i am asking is does it make a $200 difference to the bike?

That is agreat deal,I paid $289.99us for
mine.Ibought it in Bangor.Maine.I am a canadian truck driver and I could not get one here yet(at the time). It is an excellent upgrade. It really wakes up the mid-top.Wnen I first got it I was still in the habit of riding it like my 400ex which didn't make much difference if I rev it high before shifting but the 450R especially with the HRC KIT makes some serious power up top.

www.servicehonda has the kits for $252.70. I do not know if they have any in stock just going off the info on their web site. Part number for the HRC kit is: 06100-NLZ-651.

i bought a 450r completely stock and just recently put an hrc kit on it. the bike is much quicker now. don't believe everything you read. hennessey and tweed. i can keep up with a modified yfz now. i would buy that kit just because it's from the manufacture. mine seems to be running just fine. you should readjust the valve clearence though. it will require shims. little discs if your're not familiar, but installing the stuff is easy.

I'd be jumping all over that for that price. That's a steal. It made a very noticeable difference on mine.

what does the HRC kit come with?

The kit is supposed to come with (I say supposed to because I've only been told about the HRC Kit) Main Jet, Needle, Higher Flow Exhaust Spark Arrestor, Cam, and Air Box Lid.

I want to know, Can the cam be bought separately?? I've already touched on every onther aspect of the HRC Kit except the needle, so I just want to buy the cam. Does anyone know??

The HRC Kit comes with the following:
1. Cam
2. Joint, Breather 3-way
3. Needle
4. #185 Main jet
6. Air box lid with mudguard element
7. Duct snorkel
8. Spark arrestor

As far as the Cam is concerning this is the part number out of the HRC kit install guide:

14110-NLZ-650

Maybe you can just order the cma by itself.

Hope this helps.

Yes, the cam can be bought separately. The price at www.servicehonda.com is $214.54. For that price I would get the whole kit. The price and # is on a previous reply to this thread.
