Heim Joint Maint.?

What all should I do to keep maintenence on my heim joints? They have been making popping noises lately, is this something I should look out for?

Hi! Your heim joints are propably just wearing a little. Spraying a little WD40 on them after you wash the bike will keep them lubed. Switching to a teflon lined heim joint will eliminate the need for maintenence and solve your problem. Be sure to check and see if you have any bind as normally when they make the sound you are describing they may be binding somewhere!

Using one of the wax type lubes like a dry chain lube or White Lightning lube for bicycles will lube them without attracting the dirt that petroleum lubes like wd 40 and others will.
