I was wondering if they did a count at these races of who rode 4 strokes and who rode 2 strokes? Looking for some numbers on the gncc and mx races. A friend of mine thinks that the 250r still dominate the mx. Any info would be great thanks.

Anyway, there are still a few who run two strokes competitively at both GNC and GNCC's. Mainly the four strokes have taken over...

yes there are still some 250's in the top of some classes but mainly 4 stroke's mainly from what i have seen its the yzf but there are coming more and more crf's and there are also quite a few z/kfx still out there mainly the lower classes where 2 strokes still are

It's a - - - -! shame but 4 strokes are where racing going and finally have the machines! The 2stroke mainly R's are being politiced out but thats an issue like guncontrol so we won't go there. The good part is the factories are putting some jack into ATVs and a person that has the talent can make it.A NATIONAL 265cc R is about equal to a piped YZF.

yea its mostly the rider but the 4 strokes have a distinct advantage over 2 strokes on hils but i beleive 2 strokes can still mostly out accelerate the 4 stroke to a point. atleast thats what i have witnessed

I dont even think a YZF piped can keep up with my 246cc.

I will disagree with that. unless your 246cc can beat a duncan 275 powervlave motor?

If Jones was on his R he would be 1, 1, 1, 1, 1 for the series...;)
