oil change ??

how much oil is used when changing, both sides, i just purchased two different types of oil from honda, just not sure how much to put in.

It takes .82 on the engine side and .58 on the tranny side.


To change the tranny fluid you will need to start the bike and let it idle for 3-5 minutes. Check the owners manual for the procedure.

Before you change the oil in either side it is best to RIDE the machine for 5-10 min. Doing this gets all the contaminets suspended in the oil, and allows them to easily come out upon draining the oil. Watch out on the tranny side because when the oil is warm it tends to come out alot faster. If you bought a silver bottle of oil and a gold bottle, the silver bottle goes on the engine side (silver case) and the gold bottle goes on the tranny case (gold clutch cover).
