Too Much Top End?

For you Predator owners, or people that know, do you feel that with stock gearing the Predator has just too much top end? The first 3 gears feel realy short and it feels like I don't get any real speed until mid 4th gear... and then once I hit 5th gear there is a freakin' MASS of speed to go through.

this really sucks for acceleration because the accel. in the first 3 gears is poor and 4th gear and especially 5th feel way too tall.

anyone else feel this? also what gearing arrangement with stock tire sizes would fix this problem at least a bit? a lot of people at predator owners use 14/38 front/rear sprocket and i'm unsure how it will affect my performance. someone said you almost lose first gear.. and i've heard people say that you lose a ton of top speed.

iv'e raced with a predator & seen a few 7 they have very good acceleration...i'd love to see their top speed if you say they dont have any untill 5th gear

just buy a smaller front sprocket and try it. if it is too much, buy one tooth larger rear sprocet.

5th gear pinned on a predator is frightening.... i am too scared to go top speed on mine. i'll tell you something... very few machines besides 475 stroker yfz's, 686/727 raptors or heavily modded banshee's can go that fast.

yeah OK. not that I want to call you a liar or anything but you know. Firts of all there is no thing as to much speed or power.
Second I have tried and raced preds and there not that impresive.
O stock raptor goes about the same speed. and My 440 could beat a rappy no problem. In a drag race that is. I don't even want to think about what I could do to a pred with my 500.

that's great you can beat a stock raptor.. your 400EX is at it's potential. my predator is maybe 1/2 tuned and has as much horse and torque. it'd be even more hilarious if I had a 560 pred, forget all the few I already have.

why would you want a 560 if the 500 have to much power and speed for you in stock form.

ive noticed most of his posts eventually lead to my predator can whoop your quad...even when he starts the thread off whining about what a pos it is.
