I have an FCR from a yz426 that has everything needed for it to fit the 400ex. Uses the stock throttle cable and motor to carb boot. It is a 39mm. Accelerator pump is not working, needs to be adjusted/fixed. Has a choke, unlike a Sparks, so it starts easy when it's cold. Let me know if you need pics, have questions, or want to make an offer.

what would it take to get the accelerator pump going? If you disconnect the linkage and just jump the accelerator pump does anything come out the carb (fuel wise). If it is fixable I will pick it up for a decent price.

I will try what you said with the gas and let you know, the problem now is that when you operate the throttle the pump doesn't move. It is free and moves easily manually.

is one of the linkages broke? inside the accel pump there is just a diaphram and a spring.

I looked at the carb. I tried the pump and it DOES pump gas into the carb, so i guess the pump works, but it is not being engaged with the throttle. I assume it is a linkage problem.

OK i messed with it a little more and figured out the problem. The linkage was not engaging the pump. It is working fine now if anyone is interested.
