He's just one of those guys that would be fast on anything. He would ride honda, yammie, or polaris just as fast.

Gust is amazing. A heck of a nice guy, too. WIll go out of his way to talk with anyone. Throw in the fact that he is 36 years old and you have to respect the man.

Even though I ride a Yammie, I still pull for Gust.

if anyone has met gust you now he deserves to be on top. he works at everything he thinks can be improved. and he is just a great guy to everyone. i ride the 450r but deffinatly pull for gust along side far!!!!!!!! the yamy's are great but the rider makes the ride!!!!!!!!!!honda has dominated the sport for so long it's great to see yamaha step up to the plate with the yfz, buuuut i'm already sick of hearing about them!!! any yamy i can smoke at the track makes me feel that much better;) :cool: long live the red yellow and blue rivalry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool:

I'm sure its a 450 and i'm sure its got everything imagineable done to it. Every one that i have talked to thats been to a national said, hes on nitrous or something.

He's not on nitrous. His engine kit is a 450, from yoshimura, and its the same kit that anybody with a Z400 could go out and buy and have the same engine specs as Doug. He just is such a GREAT rider, and Suzuki is helping a lot this year also.
