It's high temp exhaust paint, but I still don't know how long it is going to last.

i'd give the paint a good 3 races. and a few practices. But i would just redo it every now and then! It looks pretty sick

I will probably be getting a Sparks or TC pipe when I get the crank done and put the big bore on, but what else is used to coat pipes with until then, other than high temp exhaust paint.

i have a nickel plated Sparks..it looks good and great power...

i'm not exactly sure what else you could use. There is high temp engine paint, if that is not what you used:confused:

Na, engine paint is like 500 degrees paint. I used 1200* exhaust paint on the header, and 900* caliper paint on the pipe.


How much did your pipe run you roostin_dale? What is it X4, X5 and what is the actual cc's on your motor?

its a Sparks X-5...my motor is a sparks racing 300cc (all that is allowed for youth production class)

I dunno how much it was...it was on there when i bought it, they said it had a sparks pipe so i thought i would get the engine built by sparks too....
