Hey guys, I was pit riding my 400ex, following a Raptor and then I am slowing down. I hammer the gas and i get nothing. I pull to the side and pull the clutch in, rev it. There is about a 2 second delay before it starts to rev up, it is sputtering and such as I am reving it.

I have had problems with the carb in the past. I has to big of a jet in it ( a jet for a T4 pipe) everything was loose before and bog and sputter in hte high RPMS. Could it be possible it is reverse and doing it in the low RPMS? I am new to this stuff or is it possible that it is blown up?

If you dont understand what i am saying. Ask me and i will try and clear it up for you..

thanks in advance for your help

First, I would take off the cap under the main jet & see if it has fallen or clogged. If not, take off the carb & check for trash.

Alright thanks a lot. I was thinking everything in my carb was loose AGAIN but now i looked at it closer and I am positive its my plug. I can move it with my hands.

also check your throttle cable..the simple things like this are also ways it could be like this.if you hear a poping noise, rejet it and clean everything, what kind of carb do you have?
