Me too.
I've read somewhere that the only thing oil an o-ring chain does is stops it from surface rusting. There was also a blurb on the chain oil actually attracting contaminants and causing premature failure.
As far as I'm concerned, that's a load of crap. I will always oil my chain, if there is chain wax available, I'll use it, otherwise, whatever's available. Some thing is better than nothing!
Well atleast with sportbikes. I owned several and even a few at one time. I had a Honda Hawk GT in which I never lubed the chain. The chain rusted which made it brittle and then it broke. On my 929 I've kept it lubed. It does "look" dirty but it has yet to break..chain breaks at 120mph are no fun..

I currently use Honda's HP Chain Lube which works great. It is not tacky like some lubes which pick up dirt. I also used Chain Wax which is a fine lube also. I think that HP Chain Lube is just a little dryer to the touch than the Chain Wax after it dries on the chain. I prefer the HP Chain Lube.

I use cahin Wax on my 400 EX. If i'm riding and you can here the chain making its little noise, spray that on there, it does a fine job. You can also use it on your Cables. the only cable i've used it on thought was the small portion of cable from the clutch to the motor. Try it works good though.

Bel-Ray super clean is what I use. I think it's very similiar to chain wax.

i used to use chain wax on my chain. but i didn't like it cuz it would build up on there and it would also get all ovet the swingarm and sprocket and stain em. i switched to spectro chain lube and i like it waaaaaaaay better. when you spray it on it looks like spit but it soaks into your chain and it like cleans it and it lubes it really good. its a lot better than the chain wax.

I was using Pj1, but have now switched to the chain wax. I like the wax much better. The pj1 seemed decent, but when I put on the New Renthal Chain, it came with a good coat of wax, so I decioded to stay with wax.
I used to use chain wax, its good, then a friend lent me some klotz. It foams on the chain and works great. Will not sling off and is much less messy to put on. No overspray. Went out and bought a can. This stuff is the ticket.

What a waste of money! I use bar lube oil. You can get a whole gallon for 5 bucks, and my chain looks brand new after a year. I am sure that the chain wax is the best lube, but don't see a reason to use it.

I use Honda HP chain lube or chain wax. I like the HP better.

I've tried several different kinds, but honestly WD-40 seems to work better than anything I've used yet. But I don't spend a lot of time in deep water. But as for regular usage it work good.

Sidewinder lube is definately the best. Just like their chain and sprockets are the best. The chain I bought has over 14,000# of tensile strength. You cant beat that!! there a little expensive but they are worth the extra money because they will be the last ones you buy!!
