will a 250R shifter wokr on a 300ex?

i need a new shifter for the ol' 300 and i liked some of the ones i seen,but they are only for the 250r's anyone know if this one or one for any other quad will work on a 300ex?i just don't like the msr one that is made for the 300

id say it would fit, why not buy one and try it out?
if it doesnt fit than sell it to someone there not that expensive
