I have a 400 with a wb e series slip on, k and n filter with lid removed and jettted. I ordered a 406 ross piston kit and a stage 2 hotcam. I was wandering if i should have ordered a stage 1 instead. can some of you tell me about yours and how it changed the power. does a stage 2 take your low end torque away? does stage 1 have very good top end? thanks

I belive that stage one has more torque, stage two is better for highly modded engines and has more mid-top.

i run a ross 406 with stage 2. your still have low end torque. however, you just have much more power when you get the rpms up. mine will run well past the stock rev limit in a drag race for at least the first 3 gears. if you aren't bringing it that high, you will be loosing speed when dragging. however, i run a x-6 so that helps for the breathability. sometimes i even hit the stock rev limit in 4th gear but not too often.
