I took apart the top end on my 400ex to replace the gasket between the crank case and the cylinder. When I go to put the cam back in, I put the plunger spring in before the plunger. The spring (new from Honda) will not compress with plunger. There is no dirt or metal in the hole. What Is this for? How can I fix this and can I run without it? Please help!!!!!!!!
