LRD just sent me an exhaust system today. They gave me two jets and i have never jetted before but anywho they gave me two jets. Im not sure which is which. Did he give me a main jet and a pilot or did he give me two mains. One of them is fatter where the threads are the other is skinnier where the threads are.

Im kinda confused now. They gave me two jets. When i pulled out the bowl there was this little piece connected to this long piece and i didnt get one of those long pieces. I just got to short pieces that connect to the long piece.

the short piece or main jet will connect to the long piece

Well we put everything on. Now it starts up and it will idle but it wont accelerate. Then there was this little plastic piece in the carb we didnt know where it went, and then there was this little piece of metal that goes in before the long piece im not sure which way to put that either we just kinda guessed on that. I'm not sure which one it is though the plastic piece or that little metal piece. Not sure if we have to turn it around the other way anyone know what im talking about!

I have no idea what your talking about, but i have jetted my 450r about 3 times now. Where in oregon are you?

I am located in Banks, Oregon! i'm gonna go buy an owners manual tommorrow and work on it and try to fix it. Its very minor!

the thing just wont accelerate, it will move but like when you just punch it, it doesnt go any where. It just cackles.

Take it somewhere that knows what they are doing before you put a hole in your piston.

Did you get a needle and/or shims (look like real little washers) with the jet kit? Sounds to me like like a needle height problem.

All we got were two little jets that said 170 and 172. on the directions it said to move clip position to bottom and we never did that. So could that be our problems!

Don't take this the wrong way buddy..but you should really do a little research before you tear into stuff like that. Hundreds of people on here that I am sure can help you along. Good LUCK!!!

I already did my research it was LRD that screwed up they gave me the wrong jet. So none of this was my fault. They gave me a 172 and 170. When i talked to them today they were like ya thats are bad your suppose to have a 190-195 main.
