I have a 416ex with a hot cam stage one, and a Hmf full system.. Hmf sent a 180 main and i put it in and it runs and idles good. The plug is also a tan color. but i have the stock pilot jet on it to. Any help would be appreciated..thanx a lot.

It would probably start a lot easier with a 40 or 42 pilot jet. A 180 main seems pretty rich to me. I have an e-series slip-on with 16 discs, a K&N filter, and a vented airbox and I'm only running a 160 DynoJet main. Try going up on the pilot and down (try a 170 first) on the main. I bet it starts way easier and has much better throttle response.

I would say 180 is rich. I would try 170-175 with a 42 pilot.

if your sparkplugs tan you might even be leaned a little if you dont ride it full throttle alot.

leave in the 180 and add a 42 pilot see how the plug likes that

personally i would run a 160 keihin or so. elevation and temperature matter though. i would upgrade to a 42or 40 pilot jet while your at it.

I just got threw dialing in my 426 with a stage2 cam and a full port and polish and I ended up with a 175 and a 42 at 2400ft.
