Is a 400ex carb TOO much for a 250?

i resently purchased a 400ex carb for my 250x. i was wonderin if the carb was too much for my motor. the motor is stock, as far as i know.

For a stock motor I'm not sure but I do hear they do wonders for a modded one :) I'm in the process of putting one on my 300ex here soon, but I'm getting some mods done now.
