JH Racing out of Owasso, Oklahoma sells the SAME kit for a lot cheaper! I'm not exactly sure on the price, you can call Johnny at (918)371-0101 to find out.

The shop is owned and operated by GNC Pro rider #16 Johnny Hale so you can count on getting some good stuff! I buy all my parts from him and have never been dis-appointed. I just got my PRP +2 +1 A-Arms for my 450R this past Friday from him, $520.

Just curious why are you changing the carb. From what I have heard the stocker is great. Are the others easier to work on?

C+D Racing, GT Thunder and JH Racing all have them from 550 to 650 dollars. The last time i looked on Baldwins site they wanted 850 dollars for the same setup. With Baldwin the only extra stuff your getting with the carb kit is the name.

The FCR is a better carb for all out performance, from everything I have read. The stocker is just safer is what I can gather. Both are very good, the FCR is what all of the Pro's will run though I imagine.

Just installed my new fcr carb from baldwin and I installed a baldwin full exhaust and pulled my lid. Baldwin said they would set the jetting close and I can fine tune. But the machine barely runs. Waaay to lean. It came with a 45 pilot and a 170 main. Two turns out on the fuel screw. I bumped the needle to a 48 and I put a 182 main (that is the only size I had that was bigger). I set the screw at 2.5 turns out. The machine ran better but it is still to lean. I rev the motor and it takes a second or two before it idles down.

Anyone out there with a similar setup that has some jetting info?

Man sorry to hear was not jetted properly from baldwin. Maybe he jetted it with you leaving the lid on the air box? Good luck you spent some cash on that setup and deserve it :)

I just put in a 190 main, 48 pilot, 2 turns out on the fuel screw. It still seems to run rough, but it alot better than when I started. I am going to drain the gas and put new stuff in because I see a thread about water getting in through the gas cap vent hose when you use a pressure washer.

What do you have for a pilot and how many turns out on the fuel screw?

I have a Sparks X-6 full system with a Sparks filter set up and no airbox lid. I just ran a 190 main jet and 2 turns out on the fuel/air mix screw and it runs great.

Whats the stock pilot jet on our 450Rs? Are they a 45? I didnt change mine out because it ran great without it.

The guys responding to your post about tuning the carb have the stock carbs. Your jetting will not be the same. PM JHRacing#16 or somebody that has the same carb as you. I think KGBG has the same carb setup so you might PM him also.
