Well I have a 400ex that i swore that I would never mod. But after hearing how a pipe can wake her up I decided to get a hmf slip on. Was going to get the WB but seemed a little on the weak side. Any way I get the pipe put it on and jet the carb and just when i was about to take it for a test run it starts to pour. So today, a day later I got the chance to try it out. I started the 400 up still needed choke ( i change pilot to 40) to warm up. I started riding it and it sputtered and popped when I hit the gas past 3/4. I could't figure out what it was unitl it dawned on me that the choke was still on. After thinking that I was gonna have to rejet I put down the choke and romped on it in second gear. Well the thing hooked up and pulled the wheels off the ground and almost sent me flying. So the point is if you getting a pipe hmf gets my vote!
