well...i'm in the process of building up my EX and i'm wondering what front and back sprocket or how many teeth to add would be the best to increase my speed...and where can i get these at?thanks.:confused:

Get the cheapest ones you can find. They last the longest. I have bought every kind and none last as long as the Kmart speacials!

Your stock setup is 15t front and 38t rear.

Generally, most people play with the front sprocket probably because it's cheaper, and you see a signifcant change. Going up 1 tooth on your front will give you more top-end speed while losing some bottom end. Also they say that jumping 1 tooth size is equivalent to 2-3 teeth on your rear sprocket.

just installed an 14t front with stock rear, and its very nice power. my 400ex is now a wheele animal.

I believe EXtreme8 ask about speed not about being a wheelie champ. Go up a tooth on the front to start with. You may have to grind the chain guard however. I believe there is a thread in here somewhere on doing this.
