setting the 400ex timing

When you set the timing on the 400ex what way is the cam sitting at top dead center? Also I assume the 3 marks on the timing sprocket point up and to the left and right when its at TDC. Any help would be apreaciated.

Line two marks up even with the top of the head, with the other mark straight up. Then just tighten the cam in with the lobes facing down. That is all there is too it!

this is all correct. make sure you have your flywheel set on the T mark before doing all of this though.
