How often should i change my oil in 400ex

i just got my quad and i read the hole owners manuel but it didnt say how often i should change my oil? so i was wondering if you guys could give me some help on that.

It actually depends on how often you ride it,,but at least 4 times a year would be a good idea. I change mine about 8 times a year minumum..

After a weekend at the dunes (about 8-16hours) I change it when I get home..I would also recommend going to a Synth for the oil.

Riding Style

Easy rider 20-25hours
Medium rider (get on it a little) 15-20hours
Hard rider (on it all the time/dunes) 10-15hours

Hope that helps you, and that is just my opinion, it comes from no where else, but I have yet to have probs with that ratio.

BTW change the filter everytime..I know people that reuse them once......NO NO NO.

I change mine every 30 days, and the filter every other time.

Run sythetic oil, Kendall and redline are the ones to look at.
I cahnge mine every 20-30 hours and adjust the vavles while your at it, saves time.

I change mine as soon as it no longer looks crystal clear on the dipstick.......and I change the filter everytime. just changed mine last night as a matter of fact.

Change It alot an often oil is cheap motors are not
I change mine about every four rides (10hrs)

I change the oil on my 300EX every 2 weeks about everyother weekend.
