I don't want to sound like an idiot, but where exactly is it and hoew do I remove it? I am going to get it shaved, so I got to get it off. As much detail as possible would be appreciated, **** if ya got a picture or two that would be great.
Thanks James

Its under the left side engine case. Its the thing you turn and line up the timing marks on to adjust your valves. You will need a special tool, flywheel puller, to remove it.

If you're not sure, get a shop manual and do it by the book.

I would'nt mess with mine, Honda is pretty good at designing things.

I'd recommend getting a service book before going any farther,,you can run into big problems down the line if you dont' pull and replace the flywheel properly..

Ps..I have mine shaved and it does help in MX racing,,but don't expect spectacular power boosts..

Not much more I could add except it is very simple, but getting the center bolt out may be tough. I used an electric impact and 17mm socket and a wrench to hold the flywheel.
The stock flywheel weighs approx 5.5 lbs. I have had 2 done and the lightest you can get it without getting nervous is 4.5 lbs. Typically you will see about 4.75 lbs when they are done.

I am sure you have already figured this out, but you will need a left side cover gasket and the small starter cover gasket when you do this.

Hey thanks guys.
You are right Rico I need a service manual. I have just been putting off spending the 50 on the manual, but I guess the time has come.
