where exactly on the bike is that?

if possible, i would prolly just go ahead and grind those out and weld.

Pic's got me stumped....what is that anyways? Don't go JB weld, if you need to retap it go with the helicoil for sure and do it right. Tapping some hardened JB weld sounds kinda sketchy to me.

Its the 2 swing arm skid plate mounts.

heli coil might work hard to tell with out seeing it in person i would take it to a welding shop and have them weld new pieces on then tap the new pieces just a thought

It looks like you would have to grind off the bent spacer section, it looks like they are kind smushed up, and make some new spacers. If there is enough material going up into the swing arm holes you would have to dril with the proper drill size specced for the helicoil tap and be sure you get enough depth and us a short helicoil. Should work. Remember helicoils are for more of a permanent fix and not meant to be removed time and time again.

Well i took out the bearing carrier today so i could do everything right. Im debating if i should have a welding shop weld thos hole up so i could re drill and tap. Or i was thing would the helicoil because you can see that chunk missing. I will get better pics later.

wow.

i would grind em off, and weld in new spacers to tap.

thats a pretty nasty little situation ya got there.

Yea it is nasty, it came like that and now i have to deal with it. So i guess i will grind them off, get spacer and bring it to a welding shop to weld them on.

Im guessing a helicoil wont work.

Or do you think i could grind off off those spacers i have on now and drill and tap the holes that are gonna be left in the swingarm, and just put a spacer in between the skidplate and the swingarm with out welding. I dont i just thought of this.

That's what I was saying, I just don't know how much material is left to work with. As long as you dont interfere with the carrier you are only holding on the skid plate, aren't there 2 other bolts up front? I guess you don't have anything to lose by trying.;)

Yes there are 2 other bolt up front and they are good. I dont know if i told you but i was not gonna tap the spacers they would just sit there. and it would be tapped right into the swingarm.

Yup, just make sure there is enought threads up in there, 3 or 4 turns maybe.
