why do people take there lights out of there 400exs it looks stupid i think:confused:

it doesn't look stupid, but i think the 400ex's lights look awsome. I think they have the best lights out of all quads.

here are a couple of reasons:
1.The lights are very expensive, and in a very vulnerable position. By removing them when they are not needed (racing, day riding) they can be saved for when they will be needed (off season, weekend rides). One less thing to break.
2. Also racing is done during the day, or under lights at night. So the lights are not needed, except in some desert races where the stock lights are not good enough anyway. The lights only add weight in racing conditions.

i did not say the lights look stupid i said the quad looks stupid if they take the lights out

usally, wen people take the ights out, they go all the way and order a 250r hood

yeah, most of them get the carbon fiber hoods. I think it looks best with headlights kept on and fenders cut like doug eichner(sp?)'s 400ex( the yellow one in the magazine adds.)
