Try doing a search on "race cut fenders" and you wont be disappointed. For starters, if youre doing the front fenders, you can use a measuring tape for reference marks, but I think its easier to simply lay out a line of electrical tape or other tape along the fender. You can always redo the tape line if you dont like the shape you have. Then cut close to the line with whatever you want to use for cutting but not on the line. I like to finish mine with some heavier grit sandpaper to shape and get closer to my tape line and then finish it up with some fine grit sandpaper and a razor blade on the edges. To bring back the color of the plastic, run a torch along the edge of the cut. The first time I cut my fronts I used a handheld jigsaw and it worked well. I recently cut my rears as well and I used a spiral cutting rotozip too and it worked surprisingly well. A hacksaw will do too if thats all you got just remember to make a nice contour and not just cut the fenders off straight back ghetto style.

Yup, thats the thread you want. I also reshaped my fronts like JamesParent did because I just didnt like how they looked. You can always cut off more, but not the reverse so just experiment with how you like it until you have it right. :)
