What pipe do you run?

Do you run any of these pipes on your 400EX? If you run a different brand, send a post telling a little about it.

i got a mega maxx 2 on mine
and i beat my friends that have a fmf power core 4 and the other kid has a yoshi

but that might be cause i have a 2004 and they have a 2001 and a 2002 i dont know

o by the way we switched one time and mine still won

right now im running the CT racing slip-on. it added great gains in power lots of low and mid. but i have had alot of trouble with it holding up and wont be going back with them, bad customer service too. right now im looking at the x6 to replace it.

White Brothers E-Series for me....and I hate the damn thing:mad: I am just waiting for the part that inserts the core to fall out. I can twist it a little bit already, and have already had it welded once. Its gonna make my day when it just falls off.....:p

I don't run any of those pipes.....:huh



But I'll soon be sportin a fancy HMF.....:D

I have herd about unhappy white bros. owners of the e series because of the brackets that mount to the frame and hold the silencer up breaking frequently and having to be welded up. that turned me away from the white bros. early.

I have never had ANY problems with my WB. I am very happy with it.

for every one person running an hmf or cs theres 5 running an e series and maybe one out of those 5 will crack and this is why you hear so much crapp obout the e series ive pounded this piss outta mine for the past 2 years and have had no problems with it

hey guys i ride Xc and thinking about geting a pipe mine stock right now but having trouble between Lrd and Sparks x-4 i'm planing on adding a 440 or 460 kit son so witch you think would be better?

im not sure on LRD but i know that sparks makes awesome Engines and exhaust...that would be my way to go...

i dont got a 400 ex i have a 300ex but i have a tc pipe and it give it great power and nice sound but its alittle to loud to ride by peoples houses.

Im on my 4th pipe now from stock. First had a FMF Powercore IV-2 with a FMF Hi-Flow header, then did the 440 and cam and went to a CT Racing Midrange pipe, now with the big 450 stroker I got a CT Racing Hi Output system. I just love these CT pipes because they come with the spark arrestor discs as well as a trick billet race end cap and are of great build quality. Reverse megaphone design with that trick ceramic finish and price thats cheaper than the Sparks X-6. I just thought it was a better value because it came with the spark arrestor and performs just as well as the Sparks system give or take a hp or two, but who cares when you got a professionally built motor anyways? Don't get me wrong the Sparks is a great exhaust, but I got the same pipe again just to stand apart from the crowd. :blah:

I got a CT too and love it! Great gains everywhere, and no problems with durability at all after 1 year of usage. Spoke with them on the phone and they were fine with me.:cool:

I have the Big Gun on mine....first generation. I've had the silencer can rewelded because the bolts fell out, rivets put in, rivets fell out and elongated all the holes....not really happy with how it's held up and how loud it is, but the power is really good....I think I will go with a Fatboy 4 now....anybody have one of the full systems would like to tell about how they like it and how it's held up?

i have a DMC 2k style....similar to the DMC Alien, except its not the tear drop shaped silencer... I have good gains all over but mostly topend, but it is definitly a loud one

I first had the LRD and then switched to Sparks and then went back to LRD for the Pro-4! The Sparks wasn't working out for me so I went back to where the power was:D

the reason i say bad duribilty and customer service was i over shot a double and cracked it after bout 5 months of loving that pipe, but i had a race about a week and a half away so i called them and they said they would either fix it or send me a new one in time for the race. i was pleased with that. a week went by so i called just to see how it was coming and that hadnt done anything. well couple days before the race called again and still didnt have it ready but promised it for the race. i raced that race with a stock pipe and after 3 more weeks of calls being returned days later or not at all i finaly got it in after running another race with my stock pipe. i could kinda understand them not getting it to me cuz a week and a half is a tight deadline to get it fixed and sent back out but they hardly called back when they said they would and took 3 weeks when they said one week. also my cosuins broke too in the same place.

I know they arent really popular, but I bought my 400 w/ a megamaxII on it, and its grown on me.

It amazed me when jetting or tuning, how much difference adding or removing just one disk made in sound and performance.

I can make it super loud or very quiet when I want.
