what pipe you got?

I wouldn't worry about it too much. They haven't fully figured out how to do the testing correctly so I don't see them enforcing a no race rule against anyone.

Tech dude at GNCC RD 5 told me if I didnt have mine corrected by Lorretta Lyns Im not racing.
They put a check next to my name and number and told me they will double check when I come through tech next time.

Oh well Im not making it to that one anyways. Have to defend my points at local district.

While the rest of the country is just start all their XC races we are just finishing ours up. Only this weekend and 1 more.
That leaves the rest of the summer for GNCC...:D

Right or wrong method if your to loud you don't race. BUT if they failed all that were to loud, there'd only be about 50 bikes in the start field. I was told to get it quiet in S.C., which it was 106.

My quad has been tested at the last three of four of the GNCC's.

Fl - 96
NC - 103
SC - 101

I haven't changed a thing on the quad and they gave me 3 different readings. Who knows what it will be in Tenn. Is it the surroungings or the testing thats making the difference in the readings?

I know this wont be popular with you guys, but I like a quiet machine:( I have bad hearing problems as it is and the loud exhaust just makes it worse...wether im riding or spectating.

I would like to see proper testing for sure, but I also understand that closed course racing is closed course. The NHRA tried this a few years back and it didnt work too well....sounds like sound testing never works

Well I see some RP employees missing teeth when they tell jim bob that just drove 9 hours that he cant' race because his stock pipe is blowing 109 DB...

I spoke with HMF on the phone today and the readings RP is getting are far from accurate. 2 people talking while the test is being done can raise the DB reading, a quad going buy 30 yards off in the background can raise the DB reading.

ALLLLLLLLLLL of the pro quads have some serious ear peircing bark so when they tell Bill B he can't race then they can tell all the other 500+ riders they can't race either.:o

I also like a quiet machine. I feel my quad is loud enough, with a reading between 91-93db.

They also can randomly pick anyone to test if they think there to loud, hate to see someone ride 2 hours and be DQed when there tech inspection only quiet contraption fell off:(
