a pipe question

hey would this work. if i by a tc racing pipe for a 400ex and custom fit it to my 450r. will the pipe work with the engine, could this cause problems to the engine. any suggestions

i'm not positive but i dont think it'll hurt the bike. at very worst it'll run like crap down a mountain on a cold day.

Someone on a different forum said that they were at a track and they saw someone on a 450r with a TC exhaust.

Thats the pipe i want to go with so i was gonna call and find out if they are avail yet but I dont have the $ to buy it now. Im gonna have to wait a week or two, so thats why i didnt want to call yet.

same here i dont have the money yet because i just bought,prp a arms,lonstar axle,ac nerfs, tag t2 bars, razr mx all around, beadlocks in the rear,works connection clutch lever,quad tech hood,and the blingstar bumper,and im powdercoating my frame candy apple red. so i was just curios if they had a pipe for the future. ill probly order it once i get my parts in.

TC is offering a pipe for the 450r. the price is just over 500.00. When I spoke with them they said that they are focusing on the mid range performance whereas some of the other companies are focusing on the top end. i doubt a 400ex pipe would perform good, the motors are totally different and I would think the pipes are as well. Also Tc is not showing the pipe on their website yet, they stated that they are too busy currently to update the site. lets all pressure the mags to do a pipe shootout, hopefully they'll listen being we all keep their industry alive!

I believe its for the full system, not sure if they're makin a slip on. They told me it would look identical to their yfz pipe which you can see on their web site under yamaha.
