Do yourself a favor and get the stock (OEM) 2003 CRF450 carb from Service Honda (servicehonda.com) for $338. It's got the updated accell pump (A good thing) and bolts right up from what I'm told. It's a 40mm vs 41mm, but you won't miss 1mm at all. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than a 41mm bought from a builder and the accell pump requires no mod unlike most other FCR's.

Try C&D, they offer them at a real good price, and don't forget the "user friendly" idle mixture screw. I think you would be better off with a 39 though.

what is the difference between the 02, 03 and 04?? the 03 is cheapest. i think you need a different intake boot because this carb is shorter than stock from what i hear. also, rocky ridge said this 40mm fcr flows more than the 39 or 41 in the flow bench. however, by the time you get everything it may be around $400 for this carb to work. i think you need to block off the start valve and the TPS along with the new intake boot and jetting.

It's well known that it's a 40mm (in all the mags, etc). I also just checked Honda's site to triple verify and it says under the specs "Keihin 40mm flat-side"...

The dirtbike (CRF) carb (like I mentioned above) is a 40mm FCR flat-side and the quad carb (TRX450r) is a 42mm Keihin CV. Flatsides perform significantly better than CV carbs...

With the CRF450 FCR, does anything need to be done with the TPS to use on a 400? Also, how much is a YZF FCR? Any cheaper?

i think you can just block the TPS off with anything of your choice.
