Hey everybody, who makes a 465 kit? I have a 426 right now and have been thinking about a stroker kit for a while. The guy that builds my motor has a 473 kit and a 493 kit but I would like to stay with my 426 bore. the 426 bore is a 88 mm bore right? If I was gonna stroke my motor and keep that bore all I would have to do is buy that size piston for the stroker crank, hone my cylinder and go. And I would still have 2 bores left for wear before resleeving. I rode a 473 once and it had power like a bike I mean it would wheelie easily in any gear. It was like all my dreams in one except it wasn't my bike. I'm seriously thoingking about stroking it so let me know if I'm right about bore size cuase it would save muulla, deniro, jack. Thanks

Um...Curtis Sparks, TC Racing, CT Racing, Trinity Racing, um....anyone that builds a 440 could biuld a 465....I know what you mean about the 473...mines the same thing and it wheelies in every gear with a +2 swingarm...:D boy, is it fun to pass a raptor in 5th gear on the beach...its even funner when you are on your rear wheels!

Hey HOTT440, didnt you say that the +2 SA you have doesnt seem long enough. Im wanting to get my a-arms and sa today and I was wanting to go Houser but they only go +11/4 on the sa. They wont be long enough will it???

I would go with atleast a +4...or maybe even +6, but if you go that long, get it chrome or anything but gray...gray looks like crap stickin out their like that...or get a + 1 1/4 and run bald tires...but that wouldnt be any fun...But I dont think +2 is long enough...take a risk, grab a +6...and HOLD ON TIGHT!!!

I posted this question wondering who was building a 465 because when I had my 426 built by FDO he was building a 473 kit and a 493 kit. I spoke to Mike at FDO today and he told me that everybody is offerring a 465 kit instead of the 473 because with the 473 you had to machine the case just a little for clearance so everybody started going with the 465 because its a bolt together stroker kit. With all the work I've already got done its only gonna cost me about $800 more dollars to have the 465 stroker. I know $800 ain't pocket change but it breaks down like this $350 for the stroker crank, $190 for the Carilo billet rod, and $170 for the piston. The fact is that I'm already gonna need the rod cause I have a 13 to 1 piston now. So that cuts the 465 kit for me down to $600 cause the rod is a maintenance item. I'm going to a local Hare scammble this weekend and Mike at FDO said that a guy will be there who just got the 465 and he would let me ride it so I'll get back with everybody Sunday night. Later

HOTT440,,,,,,+6,,,,thats crazy. my mechanic has a +4 on his R and he said its tooooo long for play riding. I still want to be able to play ride also. I was thinking about getting a +3. What do you think. Sandragon sales the +3 for $375. Thats good!!! im going to powdercoat all the a-arms and swingarm a custom ordered Red color. Thats why I had to order the Houser a-arms plain!!! Mirror black with sparkles on the frame and Red with black sparkles on the a-arms and swingarm!! White Fullbore plastic up top!!
