View Full Version : FS 400ex "shaved" subframe + airbox

When I bought my 400EX, this was on it....
The guy ground off most of the mounting points for the voltage reg and battery box, then built an airbox out of perferated stainless steel and powder coated it. This airbox is obviously a great breather, but along with the air comes a bunch of sand and dirt....The battery tucks nicely in the airbox, and the seat goes off and on real easy. I have all the stock parts and I'm in the process of replacing it.
I'm not sure what to ask for it, so I'm really just fishing to see if there is any intrest in it...

you know that would be a nice air box if u lined it with like a panty hose for a little extra filtering

It would be for sure...I run a filter skin over the K&N. I just ride dunes, so the sand is really no big deal, but when you wash the quad, you get the filter pretty wet...
