weekend warrior set up

I have an 03 400EX: Renthal bars, DG Nerfs, DG full skid everything else is stock. What would be a good "weekend warrior" set up for MX most of the time and XC every now and then. Im thinking of getting 18X10X8 holeshot and holeshot fronts for MX and sometype of XC tires w/stock rims. First I will get an HMF pipe. What type os suspension upgrades with out going over board.

same size tires as stock, you should be fine with the pipe, filter, and rejet.:macho

What about suspension upgrades that wont brake the bank, like under $350 that can be adjusted easly for MX & XC?

some used works shocks $350 isnt much for anything with front shocks...i'd keep saving up about $150 more & you can get yourself some new ones that have rezzies & goodies
