need help, motor problems

i need help. my 400ex will start but die after riding for a while and will not start up until like 2 hours after. i was thinking maybe the jets need to be changed or something. the valves are in adjustment and the airfilter is clean. any help would be great.

Could be the cdi. if you got a buddy with a 400ex swap em out and see if the problem happens to him.

i think it is to do with electrical. after it dies it cranks but does not seem to have spark. at first i thought it was my kill switch but i de-grounded it to eliminate it and it still wont fire.

Sounds like the coil or CDI to me.

is it making any noises like ticking or woofing noises? if you have a blown head gasket it may not start very good and kill on you, but you would see leakage around the head gasket if this is the case.

ya i have a kill switch but i de-grounded it so that it wouldnt be a part of the circuit. it starts like this. but i think it is the CDI or the coil. so now can i buy a aftermarket rev box while im at to fix it/
