i was looking at my rocky mountain spring/summer catalog, and i found a decint priced wiseco piston kit for $92.99 on pg. 413, and it comes in 2 sizes for my 400ex, "STD" [does that stand for standard?], and a ".040" [is that like for a 440?] which should i get? OR, should i get a wiseco big bore 440 kit that comes with a 88.5mm piston kit, big bore sleeve, head and base gasket that is priced at $239.99... and on that 440 kit, is that everything that i need for it to work right? and it also sells hotcams camshafts for $134.99 and what is the diff between stage one and stage two.... what would be better? to have a wiseco piston kit and cam? or to have that 440 kit?

STD=Standard
.040=416
.080=426
(from what I remember)

For any of the pistons you stated above, you're going to have to have your cylinder bored.

As for the hotcams-I believe the stage one is for more bottom end and more stock engines and the stage two is for more midrange to top end and works better with more heavilly modified engines.

look at the C&D Racing deal ... its a sticky thread and is at the top of the first page. i ordered a ross piston kit ..416 for $105 its a 10.8:1 compression kit so you can run on pump fuel.
