i doubt you will notice a power gain.

I would just get a procircuit headpipe. You'll notice more of a gain.

i thought the header didn't fit the slip on, that the slip on is meant to fit on the stock pipe.

Huh? I'm talking about him buying a prociruit headpipe for his procircuit slip-on.

wut dont u get? I said i heard that the pro circuit slip on is meant to fit the STOCK header. And that the pro circuit header is a larger diameter than stock....therefore won't fit the slip on. maybe i said it a little confusing.

It would make zero sense for a company to create and manufacture two silencers (one to fit PC header, one to fit stock). I'm pretty sure it'll work, just as long as he doesent run "brand-x" headpipe and PC slipon.

pro circuit is one of the brands that makes their header fit the slip on silencers. the powerbong is another that will work with slip ons.

i know hmf does that they make the slip on for the stock headers but if you want an hmf header then you have to send in your slip on also so they can make it fit on.

for the most part, honda does a great job with their stock exhausts so you wont see huge gains with an aftermarket exhaust. when you do start modding the exhaust (stock motor), you are only dealing with a 397cc air cooled powerplant so you arent looking at huge gains. with a raptor it would be a different story (also its A LOT more restrictive in stock trim).

to make a long story short, i have a PC T-4 on my 400ex and my buddy just got an HMF. they sound somewhat similar and the power gains from each one were about the same. i havent put in a lot of time on his yet, but i dont think you will notice much of a difference. save the money for other mods (headpipe, cam, high comp piston, etc).

My 400EX motor is all stock. Will I notice a difference if I get a HMF slip on, over the full system?
Thanks!
