1) on my last chain tightening, i'v turned the carrier all the way untill it wont turn anymore, and the chain is still loose. is this because its at the all the way point or something will not let it turn more? if its due to all the way point then i will need to take a link off the chain?
2) when i loosing the 4 bolts, water starts coming out. it looks like water is between the carrier and swingarm housing, not where the bearings and axle are. is this normal?

any help is appreciated. thanks

sounds like your chain maybe stretched and time for a new one.

water will get into everything...your carrier should be removed and everything cleaned and lubed whne riding in water for any extended periods
