Can someone tell me what all you have to have to run good and about how much all of it cost. DO u just get a kit and put it in or do you got to have machine work or something??
Thanks

No Flame Intended.....

Don't listen to any of the other post, 90% of the guys on here have gone with the JE 416 with a XR400 cam. This is going to be able to keep up, in not out run either of the 406 or even the 416. It is the way to go, Marcums has all you will need for under 300 to you door.

Absolutely. Terry will sell you evereything you need: 416 piston, xr cam, valve seals, exhaust gaskets & gasket kit for about $275. You will have to have the cylinder bored (wait to get the piston so that the shop can match them up) & that will cast between 40-75 bucks. It took me about 4 hours to do all the labor. A shop manual is a good thing to have on hand if you do this.

Well my 440 kit cost me about $800. That included all the machine work, cam, springs, port and polish, everything. I don't know where you are at but if you are anywhere close to Iowa or don't care about shipping it out I can give the number of the guy that did mine. He is very knowageable, PM if you are interested.
