i am in the market for some 20 inch rear tires. the main thing i am looking for is some fairly light tires. i am running 20 inch shredders right now and they aren't heavy, but i think i want something lighter. i have a feeling the claws or xcr's may be lighter. i would like them to last a little longer than stock if possible. i would actually probably get the 10 inch wide ones if i could find them but most of the aftermarket ones only come in the 11's that i see.

prob not gonna get a whole lot lighter than the stockers, partly cuz they are 2 ply and so small.

yeah i figured i wouldn't be able to get lighter than stock but that is fine. i didn't know if the klaws came in a fairly light 20 model or not. i definately don't want 6 ply and 4 is fine if they are light. i would almost be ok with 2 ply also. i may just get stock ones again if i can find a good price on them. any other suggestions would be great.

Turf tamers, yfz 450 and 450r rears. The irazrs should be lighter too but they will probly be a little heavier than stocks.

i have a feeling the 400ex, 450r, yfz, etc will all be similar. how do the tamers last??

i don't even know what the irazr's are???

The 450r and yfz tires should have a little more side bite.

Tamers arent the longest lasting tires. But they should last longer than stockers. Plus you can groove them to your liking and there a lot cheaper.

IRazes are some new radial tires maxxis is making, that arent out yet. Radials are usually lighter. But i'm thinking they are thicker than stock type radials if there geared twoards woods riders.

Tried to look up more tire weights but only found the turf tamers. They weigh in at 14 pounds each.

Yeah those skat tracks are pretty light. I also found the 18x10 x8 holeshot mxr's weigh in at about 9.5 pounds. If you want to compare.

Also the tamers would get lighter to if your grooving them.

we use an 18 inch tire for Turf Tamers ..I would think an 18 inch tire would weigh less than a 20 wuld, but I cant be certain,it would seem less wieght if it was smaller tire???? both are great tires too......

oh yeah, i would assume the 18's would weight less but i would like to keep my little ground clearance that i have. otherwise you bet i would be getting some 18's. :D

i will probably go with something similar to stock or the tamers. i think i am losing speed with my shredders. maybe it is in my head. they are one of the lightest 20 inch tires i have found but maybe the others will ride a bit smoother too.
