anyone run lectrons or fcr 40mm's???

just looking for any suggestions if anyone is running the fcr40mm's or the lectron carbs?? i know they require more maintenace but how bad are they??? very seldom hit mud and other harsh conditions. i currently have a fcr 39 and i am just wanting to try more out.

Hi. If you do a search on Lectron carbs I know a few posts will show up. I remember responding to them. I run a 38mm Lectron in my Tecate-4. It's a strong carb, a little finicky but no serious problems. The float does stick on me every now and then so you need to keep them really clean. All the adjustments are made w/o removing the bowl. You just pull the top off and adjust the metering rod on the slide.

i went from a fcr to a lectron and seen a noticeable diff. my 200ft times droped a tenth and a half, i use it for dirt drag racing.

what fcr where you running??


i am still thinking about the fcr 40 because it isn't as tempermental in harsher conditions.

i have been told that the lectron 38mm carbs flow better than the fcr 39 or 41 on a flow bench though.

i ran a fcr41 mm. i have two buddies that have had this same coincedence. the lectron was a 40mm, i now run a 44mm.
