Because they have went out of business and some people are afraid that they cannot find parts for them any more. There is definately parts out there, you just have to know where to find them.

just like chettah said...out of buisness..

but you can still find plenty of parts, not a problem.
They are now making ATK cannondale quads with the remaining parts...and Dinli is coming out with some all new versions (that are very ugly i might add)

not many mechanics will work on them...none around here will...

they get easier to work on the longer you have them...
I would pay around $4,000 for a stock blaze (In US money)

Dude if you have the chance to buy the best atv every made.......the cannondale then go for it. They do have alot more power then your kfx400, but nothing that you couldnt get used to. You could probably sell your kfx and buy a cannondale speed or blaze for what you would get out of the kfx. :macho

Most likely you will not be able to find anyone locally willing to work on cannondales. It is somewhat intimidating to work on them atfirst, but after the first time you drop the engine its a piece of cake everytime after that. Just download the engine manuals and study them thoroughly before cracking the engine open and you should be fine. Actually the cannondales maintenance is no more difficult then any of the new 450's coming out. You just have to make sure that you either buy one with all the updates done to it, or soon after you buy it do the updates yourself. If the cannondale has none of the updates done, you'll probably be looking at another $300 or so in parts plus you will have to drop the engine to do the stage 8 kit. Also buy the d&m kit when you buy the cannondale, it will save your butt in the long run, helping you diagnose any problems that you may encounter with the engine in the future by hooking up your laptop and checking all the vitals of the engine.

Dinli bought the intellectual rights, and the right to build new cannondales I believe. ATK pretty much bought all of the left over parts and is now selling them and putting together "new" cannondales with the engines bored out to 450 and a 30 day warranty like somebody else said. If you are thinking about buying a cannondale, but the only hesitation you have is lack of parts for them incase something breaks, don't worry about it. Haydug Cycles, Cannondale Parts.com, and other companies still sell left over parts (which there an abundance of) and most of the parts on the cannondales were aftermarket anyways, so you can buy all of those parts from the companies who supplied them to cannondale.
