Hey I need some help getting the Durablue axle nut off my sons 300ex. It has the large nut on top of the threaded part of the axle nut. I took out the screw that keeps it tight. But I forget which way to turn the large nut. Or does the threaded part also need to be untightened? I need help asap because I had to borrow a pipe wrench and need to return it today. I have doen this before but forgot .lol

Thanks for any help.

Only turn the threaded part of th axle nut. It has 2 flat pieces on it that a large wrench can fit on. I just took out my axle Tuesday and I run a durablow nut and can't remember which way to turn it. IT shouldn't be too hard to turn. Leave the larger part of the nut alone though,, no reason to turn it. YOu should have to push the wrench down to loosen it.

also remember that the nut will NOT come off until you back it off enough so that you can remove the clip on the axle..
