taking rockers offof valve cover

WEll I'm just wondering for you people that do your own motor work & have put new rockers in how did you get the off???? We tried an impact driver but Ron didn't want to beat it too hard, he's afraid of screwing it up (we have trouble w/ breaking bolts LMAO) I'm almost ready to take it somewhere but really don't want too!!! Any suggestions would be GREAT!! Thanks;)

did you take the pin out???

If not there is a pin ( I think it' 2 or 4 pin ) on the inside of the cover that goes true the shaft that hole the rocker arms. you have to take that out then the bolt sould come right out.

/Thanks, yeah we just figured that out but couldn't get them out!! Tough buggers!! OH well we'll just use the covers that came w/ the rockers!

I needed to use an impact gun to get the rocker shafts out. the factory uses lock-tite.

yeah but you have to take the pins out first.
